I received an email from a teacher who had a parent meeting set up, but couldn't print out the report correctly. I gave her instructions through email, but she still was unsuccessful. I had talked to one of my bosses who also could not get her program to print correctly. I tried to troubleshoot from my end, but could not see a problem. I set up a time with her last Friday and went over. We went through my instructions and she was very clear on what needed to be done. I told her to give me some time alone to check out her computer; maybe there was a setting that was incorrect? I was really unsure as to what the problem is. To make a long story short, I noticed that she was using Mozilla Firefox as her browser. I had recalled during my training something about issues with other browsers other than I.Explorer. I closed down her computer, restarted the program using Internet Explorer and the problem was solved!! We went back in, got the documents and printed them. Everything was perfect!! Sometimes you just have to back out of a situation and look at the problem differently and you can find the solution! Yeah!
